Supercalafragalisticexpialadoshus!!

I cannot take credit for knowing how to spell that - but google did and helped me to learn how. It does weird me out a little bit though that google spell checked (and had in its library) the correct way to spell supercalafragalisticexpialadoshus.

But anyway,

During the week of the move, you know the week I am talking about: the mom can't play because I have to pack a house and I am sos tressed I can't function week.. that week. During that week we broke the t.v. rule. A lot. People may think I am crazy, but I like my tv rule. Alice is happy and non aggresive, we get to spend time as a family and FEEL likea family. And we get to do awesome creftiness things muhahahaha. (I have to do kids crafts, its the only way I can be crafty without reveiling myself as a talentless person in the way of crafts)

Man, I am rambly this morning.

So,

During that week I decided to change movie genres. I got her off of cartoons and enjoying live action movies via Ever After so why not take it a ste further. I broke out Mary Poppins. Instant hit. Apperently the love of musicals runs in the veins of my family. Alice was jumping all around the joint dancing along to every dnce number. Within minutes of the movie being over she was signing supercalafragalisticexpialadoshus and I love to laugh and continuing on her dancing spree.

In fact supercalafragalisticexpialadoshus is her new all time favorite song and she sings it all the time. Or t least the hum-da-lilly hum-da-lie part which actually comes out as burwillylilly when she sings it lol. Its just a good thing I know the words, my 8 years working with kids pays off sometimes.



But that is not the moral of the story here. With the introduction of Mary Poppins we officially have the first movie that Alice may possibly watch over and over. She has requested it every day since we moved, and from the moment I pulled it out of the box has walked around with it daily. On the day we had to take dan to the hospital she took it with her to Aunt Crystals and promptly forgot it there - I haven't heard the end of it.

We have watched Newsies since then and received the same result. Jumping and dancing durring the movie and then Alice portrays a Newsie for me the day after.

Seems musicals are going to be a big hit in this house

Guess I better go pick up Mary Poppins today...
