Housing Update

Alright, so Dan has his meeting with the finance lady last night about getting approved for a mortgage loan. Overall the meeting went well, but Dan got this feeling the lady was sugar coating alot of things. Alot of phrases like 'doable but questionable' and 'thats alot of w-2;s' kept comming out of her mouth.
To be fair we did meet with a finance man and a realator way back in may who looked at everything and talked us through what we would have to do about buying a house when Dan's bankruptcy came up in october. We were all gung ho at that time and had a large sum of money saved. But then we decided that we were pushing ourselves toward something that may not have the best result. We would not be able to get a great house, and were mostly doing it so that we could get that tax credit. In alot of ways that is what we are doing now as well. And in the short, it is not worth it.
The lady last night told dan that she wouldn't know anything for sure until Oct. 20th.. meaning that we could spend the next month getting ready for a house only to find out a week before our leese is up that nothing worked, and with a baby due so close to that it just has nightmare written all over it.
I hate getting my hopes up over something like this. But we do need to think things through rationally. Although I hate throwing money away in rent, it is the wisest of the choices at the moment.

So, I guess we are renting again - - but still moving. We have to get the HECK out of here. So anyone let me know when you see a for rent sign and I will call on it. We are looking into getting Anna papered as a therapy dog (not a far stretch since that is literally what she did when she was at that farm for 9 months) meaning that we could take her with us anywhere, wheather or not they allow pets lol
